  1. Matthew 27:20 But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus.

The multitudes were not involved in the actual trial itself. They are present after His conviction.

This is actually a similitude of the story of the tree of good and evil in the garden. Jesus was the good– Barabbas was the evil— the chief priests and elders were the serpent—the multitude were Adam and Eve who were beguiled by the serpent priests and religious establishment. When Pilot offered the Jews Barabbas or Jesus it was done at the 6th hour, at midnight. This was done before the parasitical religiosity Jews, who persuaded the multitudes. The multitudes had to choose between good and evil. I have no doubt that the persuasion of the multitudes was done in part by hired hecklers in the crowd that was present in order to create a lynch mob mentality. This same demonising tactic was used at WACO. On has to ask themselves: How many multitudes would have been there at the midnight hour? I don’t know.

  2. The truth of the Crucifixion of Christ

You will need all 4 gospels to learn this, as the Holy Spirit will bring unto you the remembrance of ALL THINGS.

The truth of the Crucifixion of Christ
The Passover is held in the first month of the Hebrew calendar year. So we have the first day of the first month, and it goes on up to the 14th day and so on to the end of the month. On the 14th. day they would slaughter a lamb on what was called the “preparation day” where they would prepare for the Passover, as they would have the passover dinner late on the end of that day, or on the evening of the 14th.

This would be maybe around 5.PM. Then they would also eat this meal with unleavened bread, it would also mark the beginning of the 15th day of the month, as the new day would start in the evening at 6. PM. This is also the first day of the feast of unleavened bread.

Thus we have the first day of the feast of unleavened bread, and it runs all the way through the seven day feast period, which would be up to and inclusive of the 21 day.

Then it starts a new cycle on the 22nd day, which would also be the following Sabbath.

King James Version: Luke Chapter 22
Matthew 26:17 Now the feast of unleavened bread drew nigh, which is called the Passover.
2 And the chief priests and scribes sought how they might kill him; for they feared the people.

So now a few days before the feast we see Jesus and His disciples in Matthew 26.
King James Version: Matthew Chapter 26
1 And it came to pass, when Jesus had finished all these sayings, he said unto his disciples,
2 Ye know that after two days is the feast of the passover, and the Son of man is betrayed to be crucified.
3 Then assembled together the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders of the people, unto the palace of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas,
4 And consulted that they might take Jesus by subtilty, and kill him.
5 But they said, Not on the feast day, lest there be uproar among the people.

This is very significant information in vs. 5 because they need to plot to kill Jesus, but they cannot do it on the feast day, for the people will be in an uproar. The feast day that they are speaking about here is the 15th day. This is the first day of the feast of unleavened bread AKA “high holy day” or a “High Sabbath” What this means is that on the Lords calendar which is a lunar calendar, the new moon is on the 1st. The sabbaths then fall on the 8th, the 15th, the 22nd. and the 29th of every month. {This can be found and studied in Leviticus}. When the sabbath falls on a “feast day” or when it falls on the 15th day it is called a “high sabbath”, because it is a feast day over lying the regular sabbath day. Yet it is still only one Sabbath day. So the Jews want to make sure they do not kill Jesus on the feast day, which is on the 15th day.

King James Version: Mark Chapter 14

1 After two days was the feast of the passover, and of unleavened bread: and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might take him by craft, and put him to death.
2 But they said, Not on the feast day, lest there be an uproar of the people.

Many will say the passover is separated from the feast of unleavened bread. This is not true. This can be clarified in Luke 22-1. There is also a reference to this in Ezekiel ch. 45.

    LUKE: 22-1
Now the feast of unleavened bread drew nigh, which is called the Passover.

    Jews Passover

    JOHN : 2: 13
And the Jews’ passover was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
14 And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting:

In verse 14 they were merchandising “oxen and sheep and doves” in the temple, these are all metaphors for the multitude in many places in the text. Notice it says the “Jew’s passover” in John 2-13.

If you remember in the previous verses listed Matt. 26-2, Mark 14-1, and Luke 22-1, it says; “the passover”. So why is it giving a possessive tense to the Jews passover? This is reference to the day that the Jews were keeping passover. This was not the true passover. The true passover was kept on the previous day when Jesus and His disciples partook of “the passover”.

Any time you observe in the NT or the OT the passover is always referred to as “the passover.” We can see in John 11-55 in another verse that it says the “Jews passover”. So the Jews had their own passover, and it was obviously on the wrong day.

This is just another example of why the absolute true word of God in the King James Bible is so divinely inspired. It is showing you here that the Jews had the wrong passover day. This will be furthered proven as we continue. In fact they had the Hebrew calendar wrong for 600 years going back to the time of the Babylonian captivity. But that is another subject matter which is to deep to go into.

    JOHN 11-55
And the Jews’ passover was nigh at hand: and many went out of the country up to Jerusalem before the passover, to purify themselves.

First day of the feast of unleavened bread.

    MARK 14-12
And the first day of unleavened bread, when they killed the passover, his disciples said unto him, Where wilt thou that we go and prepare that thou mayest eat the passover?
13 And he sendeth forth two of his disciples, and saith unto them, Go ye into the city, and there shall meet you a man bearing a pitcher of water: follow him.
14 And wheresoever he shall go in, say ye to the goodman of the house, The Master saith, Where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples?
15 And he will shew you a large upper room furnished and prepared: there make ready for us.
16 And his disciples went forth, and came into the city, and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready the passover.
17 And in the evening he cometh with the twelve.
18 And as they sat and did eat, Jesus said, Verily I say unto you, One of you which eateth with me shall betray me.

What vs.12 is saying is that they are getting ready to go into the feast of unleavened bread. This is what is known as the “passover preparation”

MATTHEW 26:17 Now the first day of the feast of unleavened bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare for thee to eat the passover?
18 And he said, Go into the city to such a man, and say unto him, The Master saith, My time is at hand; I will keep the passover at thy house with my disciples.
19 And the disciples did as Jesus had appointed them; and they made ready the passover.
20 Now when the even was come, he sat down with the twelve.
21 And as they did eat, he said, Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.

In Luke 22 we get more clarity on the passover. This is why you need the full weight of scripture in order to understand it when there seems to be a contradiction in the text.

There are NO CONTRADICTIONS in God’s word. The Lord is not double minded. Only man is double minded. When a contradiction seems to appear it is because you have need of more understanding of that verse and its context, along with the full weight of scripture, which the Holy Spirit will teach you.

Then it will bring the verse in to harmony with the full text. That is what is being done here in Luke 22 -7 “Then came the day of unleavened bread, when the passover must be killed”. This would be in the early afternoon, which is the preparation day for the passover feast. The day is spent preparing the lamb, along with cooking it, and the preparation of the unleavened bread. Jesus says to Peter and John; go and prepare the passover that we may eat.

    LUKE 22:

7 Then came the day of unleavened bread, when the passover must be killed.
8 And he sent Peter and John, saying, Go and prepare us the passover, that we may eat.
9 And they said unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare?
10 And he said unto them, Behold, when ye are entered into the city, there shall a man meet you, bearing a pitcher of water; follow him into the house where he entereth in.
11 And ye shall say unto the goodman of the house, The Master saith unto thee, Where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples?
12 And he shall shew you a large upper room furnished: there make ready.
13 And they went, and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready the passover.
14 And when the hour was come, he sat down, and the twelve apostles with him.
15 And he said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer:–This is the true last supper which is being spoken of here.

THE EVENTS OF THE TRUE PASSOVER NIGHT ON THE 15TH.
    LUKE 22
52 Then Jesus said unto the chief priests, and captains of the temple, and the elders, which were come to him, Be ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and staves?
53 When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched forth no hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness.
54 Then took they him, and led him, and brought him into the high priest’s house. And Peter followed afar off.
55 And when they had kindled a fire in the midst of the hall, and were set down together, Peter sat down among them.
56 But a certain maid beheld him as he sat by the fire, and earnestly looked upon him, and said, This man was also with him.
57 And he denied him, saying, Woman, I know him not.
58 And after a little while another saw him, and said, Thou art also of them. And Peter said, Man, I am not.
59 And about the space of one hour after another confidently affirmed, saying, Of a truth this fellow also was with him: for he is a Galilaean.
60 And Peter said, Man, I know not what thou sayest. And immediately, while he yet spake, the cock crew.
61 And the Lord turned, and looked upon Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he had said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.

VS 52 Is Jesus in the garden and Judas had already betrayed Him…vs. 53 “When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched forth no hands against me”. Jesus tells them that He was in the temple with them every day. As we know He was teaching in the temple, yet they sought not to arrest Him then. So this betrayal is in-fact at night when it occurs “but this is your hour, and the power of darkness”. When does evil choose to do his wicked deeds? In the darkness, where there is no light shining on him. They came upon Him as a thief in the night with swords. Be ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and staves? In vs. 59 “about the space of one hour” Here Peter denies Him for the 3rd time. “And immediately, while he yet spake, the cock crew”. “And the Lord turned, and looked upon Peter” Here Peter must have had very shameful feelings as he was confronted by Jesus. “And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he had said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice”. Jesus also knew if the disciples were not scattered from the garden, there would be none of them left to carry on His works. The Lord works in mysterious ways.

When they took Jesus in the darkness of night it was night court, for they feared the multitudes during the day, as many of them perceived Jesus to be a prophet.Matthew 14:5 And when he would have put him to death, he feared the multitude, because they counted him as a prophet…

“but this is your hour, and the power of darkness”. “Their hour” was in fact that whole night, as all of the upcoming events were to take place all through the night. NIGHT COURT… Note: Our unjust court system today operates in the powers of spiritual darkness.

This continued on during the NIGHT. It says Peter denied the Lord 3 times; this was all done at night. A fact is that a rooster will crow at ANYTIME of the day or night. This cock crowing does not by any means signify that it was at dawn or in the morning. So how do we find out when or what time the crowing of the rooster took place. If we observe that Jesus was taken to the high priests house in John ch 18: 12 Then the band and the captain and officers of the Jews took Jesus, and bound him,13 And led him away to Annas first; for he was father in law to Caiaphas, which was the high priest that same year. When they bound Jesus that night they took Him first to this man named Annas, “who was the father in law of Caiaphas”. So Jesus went from Annas house over to Caiaphas house the high priest. In John 18: 28 it says ” 28 Then led they Jesus from Caiaphas unto the hall of judgment: and it was early; and they themselves went not into the judgment hall, lest they should be defiled; but that they might eat the passover.

They took Jesus early and they themselves went NOT into the judgment hall. These next events are VERY IMPORTANT in ascertaining what actually took place all during the darkness of that night. For it was their hour of darkness of which they did evil.

Jesus and His diciples had already eaten the passover meal earlier that same night, which was during the very end of the day on the 14th, just prior to 6 PM. Then the passover night started on the 15th approx. 6PM, this was the beginning of the TRUE PASSOVER which was also the HIGH SABBATH.

So Jesus was taken from the garden, to Jerusalem, then He was taken to Annas’s house, then to Caiaphas the high priests house, and then to the judgement hall of Pilot.

VS 28 and they themselves went not into the judgment hall, lest they should be defiled; but that they might eat the passover.

The Jews did not want to go into the judgement hall because they were coming upon the day of preparation morning for the up and coming passover of the Jews. The Jew’s did not want to enter into the Palace of the GENTILE KING. Thus they would have to go through rituals to cleanse themselves from being in the heathen Roman judgement hall for the upcoming passover. Yet we know for a FACT that Jesus and His disciples had already partaken of the passover meal several hours ago. WHY? The Jew’s had the wrong passover. Just as the church today has the wrong everything too.

On the day of preparation they had to get ready by doing many things, such as desposing of all the unleavened bread and many other things which had to be removed in preparation for the passover. This is why it says these priests did not want to DEFILE themselves by going into the Roman hall.

There are verses which will actually throw you off when it says it was early. It would make one tend to believe it was sun rise. Or possibly there was an extra day in this event. This is NOT TRUE. We can observe Luke 22:62-66. This is why the weight of all four gospels is needed to understand these actual events taking place.

    LUKE
22:62 And Peter went out, and wept bitterly.
63 And the men that held Jesus mocked him, and smote him.
64 And when they had blindfolded him, they struck him on the face, and asked him, saying, Prophesy, who is it that smote thee?
65 And many other things blasphemously spake they against him.
66 And as soon as it was day, the elders of the people and the chief priests and the scribes came together, and led him into their council, saying,

We see in vs. 66 “And as soon as it was day” This might make one discern that it was dawn or light outside… The word day is 2250 in the strong’s. The time of space between dawn and dark, so that would be the daylight. Then it says or the whole 24 hours, and (but several days were usually reckoned by the Jews as inclusive of the parts of both extremes)

    G2250
    hay-mer‘-ah
Feminine (with 5610 implied) of a derivative of ἧμαι hēmai (to sit; akin to the base of 1476 meaning tame, that is, gentle; day, that is, (literally) the time space between dawn and dark, or the whole 24 hours (but several days were usually reckoned by the Jews as inclusive of the parts of both extremes); figuratively a period (always defined more or less clearly by the context): – age, + alway, (mid-) day (by day, [-ly]), + forever, judgment, (day) time, while, years

This term can actually be used to define years in the text in some cases “Such as “the DAY of the Lord” which is the 3 1/2 year tribulation period during “the coming of the Son of man.”

In Strong’s 5610 a prime root of the word day means: G5610 Apparently a primary word; an “hour” (literally or figuratively): – day, hour, instant, season, X short, [even-] tide, (high) time.
When we go back to Luke: 22 -53 When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched forth no hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness… This is espousing that this is your day, or your time. Being their time to punish Him in their false judgement proceedings.

In Mark we can find another example: Mark 15:1 And straightway in the morning the chief priests held a consultation with the elders and scribes and the whole council, and bound Jesus, and carried him away, and delivered him to Pilate..

“And straightway in the morning” this verse says: “EARLY IN THE MORNING”. This could lead you to think it was day light. But not necessarily so, it means early in the morning. Such as when Jesus was lead early from Caiaphas house to the hall of judgement. (it was early). It did not say early in the morning. Let’s look at a verse in John ch. 2O which tells you it was early, but yet still dark. John 20:1 The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre.

    MORNING:G4404
-Adverb from 4253 at dawn; by implication the day break watch: – early (in the morning), (in the) morning.
G4253 A primary preposition; “fore”, that is, in front of, prior (figuratively superior) to. In compounds it retains the same significations: – above, ago, before, or ever. In compounds it retains the same significations.

Also we can find in Matthew 27-1 1 When the morning was come, all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death: 2 And when they had bound him, they led him away, and delivered him to Pontius Pilate the governor.

Now this says “when mourning was come”. There are some very interesting clues in here that will tell us that this is still actually in the night in which this took place. The whole trial was done at night “this was definitely a night court in the power of darkness” These verses below will clear up the confusion of the time line.
The real key to identifying this has to do with the cock crowing. We have THREE verses in secession here that are very important in this understanding.
Matthew 26: 34 Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, That this night, before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.
Mark 14: 30 And Jesus saith unto him, Verily I say unto thee, That this day, even in this night, before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice. Luke 22: 34 And he said, I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before that thou shalt thrice deny that thou knowest me.
It says “this night” — “even in this night”—“this day” All of the context needs to be very carefully examined in these verses. So Jesus is saying in this night the cock will crow twice> He is saying this is going to happen this night. He is speaking of before dawn. But Jesus references “this night” also as “this day”. So understanding this context is very pertinent in gaining the understanding of the whole picture of what and when these proceedings did in fact take place. When it says day it does not necessarily mean it was day-light. It means that it was “during this day,” which clearly shows it was in the darkness of the night in which these events actually took place.

In moving forward we see in John ch. 19:13 When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he brought Jesus forth, and sat down in the judgment seat in a place that is called the Pavement, but in the Hebrew, Gabbatha.
14 And it was the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth hour: and he saith unto the Jews, Behold your King!

    PREPARATION
    -G3904-As if from 3903 readiness: – preparation.
From 3844 and a derivative of 4632 to furnish aside, that is, get ready: – prepare self, be (make) ready.

We see the “preparation of the passover” here. This is coming into the day of which the Jews were going to do their passover preparation which is always done the day before passover. From (6PM to 6PM) on the 14th is the day before passover, but for the most part it is from (6AM to PM). Remember the new day starts at 6PM. While also keeping in mind that Jesus already had finished His passover, and the text said in Matthew 26:19 And the disciples did as Jesus had appointed them; and they made ready the passover.

So like I pointed out early on in this study, there are definitely TWO different passovers spoken of in the text. The Jews in this case were making ready for their passover. The Jews Passover which was the wrong passover. Jesus as we know would know the true passover day, wouldn’t He?

On the Hebrew calendar the new day starts at sun down. It is divided into two 12 hour parts. The first 12 hours (from 6PM to 6AM) and the second part (6AM to PM). These two together constitute a full days the 6th hour can only be one of two times, either at noon or midnight. There is NO other possibility. One more example: the third hour would either be 9 PM, or 9 AM. The 3rd hour of the night watch would be 9PM at night. As we will examine the 3rd hour later on in this study. So in John 19-14 it is speaking of the 6th hr. at night, or midnight.

    John 18: 39
But ye have a custom, that I should release unto you one at the passover: will ye therefore that I release unto you the King of the Jews?
40 Then cried they all again, saying, Not this man, but Barabbas. Now Barabbas was a robber.

    Matthew 27
26 Then released he Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified.
27 Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the common hall, and gathered unto him the whole band of soldiers.
28 And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe.
29 And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!
30 And they spit upon him, and took the reed, and smote him on the head.
31 And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify him.

    Matthew 26:
3 Then assembled together the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders of the people, unto the palace of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas,
4 And consulted that they might take Jesus by subtilty, and kill him.
5 But they said, Not on the feast day, lest there be an uproar among the people. :IE: the multitudes would not stand for this.

Remember; the text THREE TIMES declares that the multitudes did in fact perceive Jesus to be a prophet. All though they did not know He was the son of God, and they believed He was the son of Joseph. None the less they viewed Him as a man of God.

Matthew 14:5 And when he would have put him to death, he feared the multitude, because they counted him as a prophet.
Matthew 21:11 And the multitude said, This is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee.
Matthew 21:46 But when they sought to lay hands on him, they feared the multitude, because they took him for a prophet

    The Crucificition

    Luke 23-46
46 And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.

Mark 15: 25 And it was the third hour, and they crucified him.
Mark 15: 33 And when the sixth hour was come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour.

The third hour of the day watch would be 3 hours from 6AM, which would be 9 AM. The 6th hour would be noon. The 9Thu hour would be 3 PM, for a total of 6 hours.

The book of Acts describes the 3rd hour as being in the early day time, when the apostles were accused of being drunk.

    Acts 2:13
others mocking said, These men are full of new wine.
15 For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.

    Matthew 27:
45 Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour.

    Luke 23-44
And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour.— This would be from Noon to 3PM.

45 And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst.
46 And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.

The Crucifixion was 6 hours. And of course HE rose into heaven on the 7th hour. The seventh time He spoke on the cross He said: Father receive my spirit. Jesus spoke 7 times on the cross. I will list those at the end of the study.

This whole thing started some 22 hrs before his death with the passover meal at the last hour of the 14th day of which Judas had left early. This then STARTED the first hour of the beginning of passover day on the 15th day of the month. Jesus went into the garden where He was taken, then they led Him to Annas’s house, then to Caiaphas house, then to Pilot, then Pilot sent Jesus to Herod, and Herod sent Him back to Pilot, where He was condemned and exchanged for Barabbas. This took 6 hours the time was midnight. All of this done in the dark of night court. Then He was scourged, mocked, on through the rest of the night. Then carrying His cross, and He was put on the cross at 9 AM. Then He was prepared for burial with several burial cloths, and layed in the tomb 3 hours later, making the total time of 24 hours.

    Mark 15: 42
And now when the even was come, because it was the preparation, that is, the day before the sabbath,
43 Joseph of Arimathaea, an honourable counsellor, which also waited for the kingdom of God, came, and went in boldly unto Pilate, and craved the body of Jesus.

    John 19: 31
The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.
32 Then came the soldiers, and brake the legs of the first, and of the other which was crucified with him.
33 But when they came to Jesus, and saw that he was dead already, they brake not his legs:

    Luke 23: 50
And, behold, there was a man named Joseph, a counsellor; and he was a good man, and a just:
51 (The same had not consented to the counsel and deed of them;) he was of Arimathaea, a city of the Jews: who also himself waited for the kingdom of God.
52 This man went unto Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus.
53 And he took it down, and wrapped it in linen, and laid it in a sepulchre that was hewn in stone, wherein never man before was laid.
    54 And that day was the preparation, and the sabbath drew on. {HERE IT IS SHOWING THE WRONG SABBATH DAY. JESUS HAD THE TRUE SABBATH THE NIGHT BEFORE. OH BUT THE IRONY OF IT ALL!!!}

55 And the women also, which came with him from Galilee, followed after, and beheld the sepulchre, and how his body was laid.
56 And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment.

    John:19-40
Then took they the body of Jesus, and wound it in linen clothes with the spices, as the manner of the Jews is to bury.
41 Now in the place where he was crucified there was a garden; and in the garden a new sepulchre, wherein was never man yet laid.
42 There laid they Jesus therefore because of the Jews’ preparation day; for the sepulchre was nigh at hand.

They asked for the bodies because they did not want to leave the bodies on the cross on the sabbath day. By the way, why the Crucifixion? There is no Crucifixion in the Laws of Moses. He was murdered by the Jews under pagan Roman Crucifixion. What do we see here the Jews the first beast of Revelation 13, and Rome which went on to be the Holy Roman Empire which is the 2nd beast of Revelation.

    Notice here in Mark & John; the sabbath preparation which was supposed to be the 14th day, but the Jews were wrong in their calendar as we mentioned. Jesus was already dead at 3 PM and the Jews who were getting ready for the Jews sabbath which was off by one day. We know that Jesus kept the correct passover on the 15th day which was also the “High Sabbath” So they actually killed Jesus on the sabbath day and the feast day unknowingly. {Forgive them Father for they know NOT what they do}

The true sabbath was on the 15th day, which fell on the first day of the feast of unleavened bread which is PASSOVER. This was the day that Jesus was arrested tried, crucified, and buried, all in the same day.

Matthew 27: 62 Now the next day, that followed the day of the preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate,
63 Saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again.
64 Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest his disciples come by night, and steal him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: so the last error shall be worse than the first.
65 Pilate said unto them, Ye have a watch: go your way, make it as sure as ye can.
66 So they went, and made the sepulchre sure, sealing the stone, and setting a watch.

Vs 64 describes the Jews sabbath day which was one day off in their tainted time line. Here the priests and Pharisees are coming together. On what day is this? It is their sabbath day, even though it is the wrong sabbath, none the less they believe it to be the Sabbath day. And what are they doing on their sabbath day? They are conspiring with Pilot to do evil. You are not supposed to do anything on the sabbath, yet alone be conspiring. WHAT HYPOCRITES ARE THESE!!!

These same hypocrites accused Jesus of healing on the sabbath day. Which turns out to be that they were accusing Jesus on what was not even the Sabbath day ta-boot. Because their entire calendar was wrong. Oh what irony!!!

The evening when they were burying Jesus these same religious Jews were now eating their passover meal. Once again what irony. Jesus was crucified on the sabbath day making HIM THE SABBATH REST FOR ETERNITY. This was an official end of the Jewish calendar which had been wrong since the Babylonian captivity.

JESUS IS NOW THE HIGH PRIEST, THE SABBATH, THE PASSOVER LAMB, THE KING OF KINGS, THE ONLY VEIL OR MEDIATOR UNTO GOD THE FATHER, HE IS ALL OF THE FEASTS, HE IS THE SON OF MAN, HE IS ABRAHAMS SEED, THE SON OF GOD THE FATHER, HE IS SITTING ON THE RIGHT HAND OF THE FATHER FOR ETERNITY.

Mark 16: 1 And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him.

Matthew 28:1 In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.

“And when the sabbath was past” what day according to the Jews calender would this be? The 16th day. This was the first day after the HIGH SABBATH which they brought the first fruits unto the high priests.

But according to the true calender that Jesus kept, what day would this be? The 17th day. Jesus ate the passover on the end of the day on the 14th, then He was killed on the 15th and they put Him in the tomb at the end of the day on the 15th then according to the Jews calendar they had their Sabbath day. Now we are past the 16th day and just prior to the morning of the 17th day. The sepulchre was empty and Jesus had risen, this would have been the first day of the Jews week, but in reality it was the 2nd day of the new week making it the third day of the feast of unleavened bread “passover” Jesus rose on the third day of unleavened bread.

Once again He ate the passover meal on the evening of the 14th. He was crucified on the first day of unleavened bread the 15th.

15th-16th-17th. ON The 17 on the true calender that Jesus kept was the 3rd day of the feast of unleavened bread. He was in the grave for the full day of the 16th and when the evening of the 17 came which started the 17th day, He was still in the tomb until the morning of the 17th where he rose from the tomb. A total of 36 hours in the tomb. Jesus Christ rose on the 3rd day just as He said. It was the 3rd day of the feast of unleavened bread. As it says in 1 Corinthians we are to purge out the old leaven. 1 Corinthians: 5-7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

    MATTHEW 12:8
For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.

When we enter into Jesus Christ, we enter into HIS REST. Is this not perfectly logical that Jesus took the place of the Sabbath day? ABSOLUTELY YES HE DID. HE KEPT THE SABBATH AND DIED ON THE SABBATH DAY AND HE BECAME OUR SABBATH ON THAT DAY. Like I said the only calender ordained by God himself was the Hebrew calender which was done away with when JESUS SAID; IT IS FINISHED.

    Hebrews 4: 4
For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.
5 And in this place again, if they shall enter into my rest.
9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.

When did Jesus Christ cease from His own works? On the sabbath, so do we also cease from our own works when we enter into Christ, and do His will and follow the LAMB wheresoever he goeth? Yes we are in eternal rest in Jesus Christ.

    John 20: 18
Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the LORD, and that he had spoken these things unto her.
19 Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
20 And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the LORD.

    Mark : 9-31
For he taught his disciples, and said unto them, The Son of man is delivered into the hands of men, and they shall kill him; and after that he is killed, he shall rise the third day.

    Matthew: 20-19
and shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify him: and the third day he shall rise again.

    1 Corinthians 15-4
and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures

So in conclusion we can see by understanding the correct passover that Jesus kept, and NOT the Jews Passover, that He did indeed rise on the 3rd day of the feast of unleavened bread.

JESUS SPOKE SEVEN TIMES ON THE CROSS

Naturally it would be SEVEN the number of rest and Holiness

    (Luke 23:34)
34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And
they parted his raiment, and cast lots.

    (Luke 23:43)
43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise.
    (John 19:26-27)
26 When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son!
27 Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that
disciple took her unto his own home.

    (Mark 15:34)
34 And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama
sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken
    me?

    (John 19:28)
28 After this, Jesus knowing that (((all things))) were now accomplished, that
the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst.

    (John 19:30)
30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said,((( It is finished))):
and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

    (Luke 23:46)
46 And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, (((Father, into thy
hands I commend my spirit))) and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.

This same process can be found on the 6th day of creation in Gen. As God had finished all that he had created and went into rest on the 7th day. Just as Jesus finished ALL THINGS in establishing the NEW KINGDOM “It is finished” in (John 19-30).

The 7th time He spoke,, (Jesus enters into rest with the Father).

    Gen ch.:1-31
And God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
    Gen ch 2:1
Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.

The Seventh day is now the rest in eternal Sabbath in Jesus Christ.
This study that I did was done with the magnificent works of the Holy Spirit which I first learned from His righteous vessel, sister Sue Patterson who is truly gifted in the Holy Spirit.
